Each Fall brings the tradition of picking apples, carving pumpkins and eating more candy and baked goods than I normally allow myself. But then again who am I kidding, I’m always looking for an opportunity to eat a sweet snack. Well, over the past couple of years it has been tradition to go to Outhouse, to get lost in the corn maze and pick the plumpest pumpkin for carving. My favorite part about pumpkin picking is enjoying the freshly made cinnamon donuts and cider down the hill from the Outhouse.
It’s always refreshing to get away from the city to breathe the suburbs’ fresh air and find serenity in the nature around you. This year, I’m not sure if it was due to the beautiful weather we’ve been having but the corn stalks were much taller and greener than last year (you can see the difference in the photos on the right). It made the maze less eerie, but it was still a lot of fun. Until next year!
