Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest, a traditonal celebration that is annually hosted in Germany…but lucky for us Sylvester, owner of Zum Schneiders, is giving us a little taste of Munich right here in Manhattan. It’s authenticity makes us truly feel like we’re in Germany! From music being sung by Mösl Franzi and the Ja Ja Ja’s (lead singer is none other than the owner himself), to everyone being dressed in German garb, drinking original Oktoberfest beer and dancing like crazy. I loved that all ages partook in the festivities, and the owner sure knew how to work the crowd; he either danced with the kids or chanted toasts with the adults. All around it was a great time! I was so happy that Will’s mom and nana made it out for the day and blew everyone away with their ability to keep up with us ‘kids’. The Germans sure know how to have a good time!

So, if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the German culture, definitely check out Oktoberfest, going on for the next couple of weekends. Tickets may be sold out online but are still being sold at the door. It’s an event that you don’t want to miss out on! Prost!
