Ever since I scored this beautiful floral kimono at TJ Maxx I’ve been finding excuses to wear it, whether it be at the beach or for brunch in Brooklyn. While there may be ‘rules’ to wearing something more than once, I believe that if a piece is styled differently, the outfit will have a completely new look.
I was able to style this kimono 3 different ways: as a beach cover up, dressed down, and for a night out. The key to transforming any look is: accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.
Style # 1: The kimono makes for the perfect beach cover up – no accessories needed, only a swimsuit and a smile (ok, and maybe a hat or sunnies to block the sun)
Style #2: I dressed down the kimono by wearing my favorite black tank, with cutoff shorts and black zara booties. I accessorized the outfit with my vintage black hat, H&M mirrored sunnies, Rebecca Minkoff purse, and my pendant necklace.
Style #3: By simply putting on heels and a dress (similar here) I’m ready for a night out! To top off the outfit I wore Mac Ruby Woo Red lipstick.
Is there a favorite piece you own that you’ve guiltily worn more times than you can count?
