I have been pining over getting a juicer for the longest and I was extremely excited when I finally got the Breville juicer for Christmas! Previously I had been using a blender to make fruit and veggie smoothies however the consistency isn’t as fine as it is when using a juicer. While many of my friends have tried at least one of these juice cleanses (which I considered trying several times), I decided I couldn’t go three days without chewing and without eating actual food.  So instead, now that I have my juicer all set up I figure the best way to stay healthy is to substitute junk food with a fresh glass of pure fruit & veggie juice.

Here are a couple of my favorites so far:

Beginner – this one is sweet (the more apples you use the sweeter the juice):

3 apples // 1 orange peeled // ½ lemon // ¼ thumb ginger//  handful of spinach // 4 celery stalks

Another recipe that is delicious and a bit citrusy includes:

2 apples // 3 celery stalks // 1 cucumber // ½ thumb ginger // ½ lemon // 1 lime// 1 bunch parsley // 2 cups spinach // 2 kiwi

If you don’t have a juicer you can still create these juices by adding water or any preferred liquid (pineapple juice, apple juice, etc.) in a blender. I also like to add ice to keep it cool.

    What a nice christmas gift! I’ve always wanted to try a juice cleanse but thought it would be pure torture. i’m DEFINITELY going to try the beginner recipe though!

      Haha yea im not one for skipping out on meals but these juices are great in the morning to boost your energy!

    I love your presentation; It looks so professional!

    I definitely would like to try one of thOse juices! A juicer would come in pretty handy too; something tO definitely think about!

      Thanks!! You’ll have to try my carrot cake using the leftover guts from my carrot juice!

    These recipes sound so yummy! And I have most of the INGREDIENTS in my fridge, so i might just have to pop them into my juicer tonight :) My go-to recipe for juicing is always apples, spinach, and carrots- simple and always yummy! Happy juicing!

      I just created a carrot juice with apples and orange and it’s delicious! I love that the juices are so easy to make and you can throw pretty much anything into the juicer :)
