With the Holiday season upon us it’s easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of it all. While it’s always enjoyable decorating the tree and spending time with loved ones, I find that the greatest gift of all is helping out others – even the smallest gesture goes a long way!
This year a friend of mine sent me an article that really touched my heart. Addie, a beautiful 6 year old girl with an atrophy in her brain, is most likely celebrating her last Christmas this year. It devastates me that this is a reality for someone who hasn’t even had the chance to grow up yet. But in order to cheer up Addie and her sisters, her family has asked that people send a “lifetime of Christmas cards.”
Knowing that I can share my love and support to the family by sending a Christmas card reminds me that once again it’s about the little things in life that bring us joy. I couldn’t wait to create a special homemade card, and that’s just what I did. I encourage all of you to do good this Holiday season; donate an old coat, volunteer, or even send Addie a Christmas card. I promise it will be the best gift you can give yourself!
I had so much fun creating this card from scratch! I figured Olaf is the perfect snowman to cheer up any little girl.
I also had my mom join in on the fun and she created this adorable card.
