Golden Hour

magic hour williamsburg

…that time period right before the sun sets, where light gives off this magic glow on everything that it touches.

Last night I was able to play around on my friend’s rooftop, also known as the rocket factory. The roof is arguably one of the best spots to watch the sun set and has the best view of Manhattan. I spent many days and nights BBQing and partying on this roof, a few years back when I was still being courted by Will ;)

It used to be covered in graffiti, and when the building decided to ‘grow up’ all the colors were painted over and the roof was closed off to all tenants. During that time I guess my friends and I decided to ‘grow up’ as well, and that was when I decided to move in with my boy to Brooklyn. So understandably being on the roof brings back great memories and I’m glad my friend still lives there to grant us access for photo shoots, fencing and other shenanigans.

These jeans are probably the most comfortable pair I own (I could honestly wear them to sleep) – I love that they can be dressed up or dressed down. To keep away from giving off a grungy look, I paired the jeans with this triangle-bow tie patterned top, sleek boots and golden collar.

Side note – Will and his friends are picking up fencing and after dueling on the roof they decided to jump in my little photoshoot (full disclaimer – no one was hurt!)
