I was on a brief hiatus from the blog for the past couple of weeks because a lot has been going on in my life and I needed time off/ didn’t want to half-ass any post just to put anything up. This month has been a whirlwind – celebrating birthdays (including my own), planning trips, discovering new opportunities, and really focusing on my career. I will be back on the blogosphere beginning next week but I just wanted to share something I’m really excited about and will now be able to cross it off of my bucket list…I will be traveling to THAILAND!

I will be there for a couple of weeks, island hopping, and taking time to relax and explore – those words usually don’t go hand in hand but I typically can’t stay still on a beach for more than 30 minutes. I will share more details about the trip next week! If you’ve ever been to Thailand I would love to get any recommendations on places to visit and things to do, please feel free to share in the comments!

Oh and one more thing…GO USA!

Koh Phangan was my favorite island in Thailand. I went for the full moon party (ARGUABLY the biggest, most spectacular party imaginable. trust me, youtube it) but stayed for the sheer MAGNIFICENCE of it. I stayed at the AMSTERDAM BAr & stone hill resort. If you ever been to amsterdam, or hung out in washington heights, you’d know why this place was absolutely magical. specifically since its illegal in thailand but this particular establishment has an understanding with authorities. the view and food are both incredible. koh phangan is pretty crowded during the full moon party but melows out after.

from koh phangan i went to koh tao which is a really easy commute, maybe an hour max. it’s also the best place to go scuba diving (really cheap and awesome).

I Wasn’t a huge fan of bangkok but i was really sick by the time i got there. be careful of the mosquitos but you should be fine, as long as you don’t pass out by any forest-type areas.

If you need any more tips, hit me up.

    good luck.

    same same but different!

Hey Dext! Thank you so much for these tips! We’re absolutely going to koh phangan for the full moon party! I’ll have to check out Amsterdam bar when I get there. I cannot wait!! We’ll be island hopping most of our trip, only staying in Bangkok for a couple of days. Oh and I made sure to get DEET to protect me from the mosquitos. I’ll keep you updated through the blog and instagram! – Cass
