I’ll admit that I was never a peanut butter crazed kid – the ones that would eat it straight out of the container with a spoon – however every day from grades 1 through 5, I would be greeted with a glass of chocolate milk after school. Call me crazy but not until after college is when I started to appreciate peanut butter cups, and the whole peanut butter chocolate dynamic. So when I over heard someone ordering a banana chocolate peanut butter smoothie I just knew I had to give it a try.
There are many recipes I found on Pinterest but I figured that you can really play around with the ingredients based on your preference. Here’s what I used:
1 frozen banana, 1 cup fat free milk, spoonful of peanut butter, 1/4 cup of hershey’s chocolate powder, cup of ice and 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Blend all of these ingredients and feel free to add more of whatever ingredient you like most. And since it’s St. Patty’s Day don’t be shy to add a shot of baileys for an ‘adult’ version.
