I couldn’t be more excited to share these photos shot by my friend Jessa, photographer and blogger of Love & Light Photographs. Her work is absolutely beautiful and I love that the lighting in all of her photos is what sets her apart from other photographers. When she reached out to me to collaborate on a post I was thrilled! Jessa is known for shooting engagement photos, and wedding photos, and now she is expanding her portfolio to include lifestyle photography. I invited her to Brooklyn (it was her first time in Williamsburg), and we had so much fun shooting at the waterfront; the weather was perfect! After the shoot, we enjoyed a delicious brunch at my favorite French restaurant, Juliette. I hope this is only the start for more collaborations to come! Check out her post where I share styling tips and date night spots in BK.
Outfit Details: I bought this faux shearling coat at the Brooklyn Bazaar back in December but have only been able to wear it once because of the cold weather we’ve been having. Since the sun was finally out this past weekend I figured it was the perfect opportunity to bring it out. The outfit was also inspired by my haircut – I haven’t had short hair since I was in eighth grade and that was before we had straightening irons. The style of my hair and the shearling coat made me feel like I was back in the 70s so I took the ensemble to another level by wearing a Canadian tuxedo.
