Although the temperatures are about to drop here in NYC you can still stay warm with a few glasses of wine at the Brooklyn Winery. The staff is very welcoming, prices are pretty reasonable and it is right around the block from the Bedford, L stop. The place has a very rustic feel and is the perfect spot for a night spent with your girl friends or for a quiet date night. I recently went, not once, but twice in one week – the second time I was able to catch the free tour.  It’s amazing how many types of wine they brew right in the back. And when they host wedding receptions and parties they are able to open the space to fit up to 150 people! Make sure to check their schedule before you decide to go because more often than not the winery is closed for a private event.

The first time I went I ordered the ‘California Dreaming’ flights which included 3 different reds – my favorite is the Pinot Noir – Russian River. If you’re a cheese lover make sure to order the cheese plate, or if you’re feeling more adventurous try the duck pate. All in all BK winery is worth venturing out of Manhattan to check out! Stay warm every body!
